Jae

Hello all! This week I am happy to welcome another award winning author, Jae. Many years ago, when I was struggling with writing Sunset Island, I wrote to Jae for help. She kindly gave me some good advice that I continue to follow today.

In 2018, she organized a BINGO game that I am sure many of you participated in. This year she is doing a variation of that with a CROSSWORD game. I hope many of you will participate and win! Here’s Jae to tell you about her plans for 2020.

THE F/F FICTION CROSSWORD CHALLENGE by JAE

My six-year anniversary as a full-time writer of WLW & lesbian fiction is coming up, and I’m grateful every day that I get to live my dream, so I try to give back to my readers as much as I can.

One way to do that is to put together reading challenges where readers can win books and discover new authors. In 2018, I ran the very popular Lesbian Book Bingo that challenged readers to fill a bingo card with f/f books in categories such as “women in uniform,” “fake relationship romance,” “fantasy novels,” and many more.

I took a break in 2019 because organizing a year-long event of that magnitude took up hundreds of hours, but I am running another reading challenge in 2020.

This time, I came up with a new idea: the F/F Fiction Crossword Challenge. It’s a year-long event for readers of women-loving women and lesbian fiction, with 36 book-themed crossword puzzles that readers can either solve alone, with a buddy, or in small teams.

Each participant will win at least one ebook, and there are many more prizes to be won: ebooks, signed paperbacks, and an autograph book with autographs from some of the most popular authors in WLW & lesbian fiction.

The Crossword Challenge will start on January 1, when I will post the rules of the game, followed by the first crossword puzzle on January 2.

If you’d like to make sure you don’t miss it, feel free to sign up to my blog:

I hope you’ll have a wonderful 2020, with plenty of great books and crossword puzzle fun!

Happy holidays,

Jae
